P-E-A-R-L-S of Wisdom for Children’s Dental Health
Below is an acronym for the important rules for protecting your child’s dental health from the Centers for Disease Control website. Click here to read the entire article.
Protect tiny teeth by caring for your mouth when you’re pregnant. Your child’s future oral health starts with you.
Ensure to wipe your baby’s gums after each meal.
Avoid putting babies to bed with a bottle.
Remember to brush your child’s teeth twice daily with fluoride toothpaste. For children younger than 2 years, consult with your dentist or doctor about when to start using fluoride toothpaste.
Limit drinks and food with added sugars for children. Encourage your child to eat more fruits and vegetables and have fewer fruit drinks, cookies, and candies. This gives your child the best possible start to good oral health.
Schedule your child’s first dental visit by their first birthday or after their first tooth appears. Their tiny teeth matter!
February is Black History Month
The origins of celebrating the accomplishments of Black Americans starts in 1915. But it wasn’t until 1976 that government leaders brought national recognition to annually celebrating pioneers like boxer Jack Johnson, activist Rosa Parks, Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, Scientist George Washington Carver and so many more.

Spring Projects and Rental Dumpsters
Right now, the temperatures are cold, the skies are gray and most people are still happy to be stuck inside. When that changes — and the projects get underway — make sure there is a Blue Box Rental dumpster close by. If you’re planning a home improvement upgrade, a major clean out or any other messy project, a rental dumpster should be an essential part of your pre-planning process.
One of the worse things is to have a huge mess to clean up after the work is “done.” If you order a dumpster for the first day of the project, there is one place for all the debris and mess to go to be hauled away. Then, when the project is done, it’s done, because the mess is gone!
If you know your project dates, contact BlueBox’s Hagerstown, MD office here for a rental dumpster estimate.
